1. The Canadian SVU torrent is not up, argggggggggh. Even though there's only minimal Alex, it still has MINIMAL ALEX. The fuck, torrent uploader dude? With the stupid fucking time change and CM and MF tomorrow, I probably won't get around to watching my shows until Friday.
2. I wish Barney and Robin will break up already. I swear HIMYM has been sucking ever since those two got together. It's not good when I find TED more interesting than either of them.
3. I signed up to be a guest reccer at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) spnroundtable. This should be interesting.
4. The other day I corrected my brother when he misspoke the Chinese phrase for "rimjob." And then I had to explain to my dad what a rimjob was. My life is awesome, y'all.

I haven't updated my journal since Saturday morning. I think this is the longest I've ever gone without updating. That is because I basically have had nothing to say. I dressed up in a cute costume on halloween and then handed out candy and played board games and then I spent the last 4 days talking to ashlein.
My life is very exciting. I know you're all happy I'm alive and stuff.

First of all, fuck you, 53% of voters in Maine.
Second of all, if Referendum 71, Washington state's everything-but-marriage bill, does not pass, I will actually cry.
I will also spend the next year ranting here, in public, and in general.
I may also have to bitch-slap my dad if he voted no on Ref. 71.
I don't want to have to do this, guys. I am afraid of my dad. We call him Lurch for a reason.
P.S. Yeah, I am so wearing my "Iowa: Cooler than California since 2009" tomorrow, but adding a piece of tape to say, "and Maine" underneath "California".
EDIT: Gives me hope. Also, apparently I'm going to cry whether it passes or fails because I cried just reading this.
Gays can't win at the ballot box.
That has always been the harsh reality. Put the subject of equality for gays and lesbians to a vote of the people — practically any people, in states from deep red to dark blue — and the people have always said: "No. Not here. Not yet."
Until — it appears — now. Right here.
There's a week's worth of ballot-counting remaining in an election everyone is saying is too-close-to-call. But it appears Washington state will be the first in America to approve a gay-equality measure not by court fiat or legislative action, but by the direct will of the people.
It's never happened before. If the slim lead holds for the gay-partnership law Referendum 71, it would be a landmark. Huge.
Washington, don't forget to be awesome. Please.

And just so you know? I've had like 3.5 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours. I'm not planning on going to sleep for at least 13 more hours in an attempt to get back on a semi-normal sleeping schedule. Also, because I have lots of stuff that needs to get done before I sleep again.

I'm going to try to get my story finished early for once, instead of waiting to the last minute, so I wanted to go ahead and try to find a beta reader. I figured the easiest way, without actually revealing what fandom my assignment involves, would be a poll listing a bunch of fandoms and seeing who's familiar with what.
( If you'd possibly be willing to beta read a threesome fic, would you mind taking just a second to click on the cut tag? )
Feel free to leave any specifics in the comments. That's especially true if, say, you'd be happy to beta read a Castiel/Dean/Sam or Bela/Meg/Ruby1 fic, but you just can't handle one featuring Bobby/Ellen/John2.

This might end up changing by one or two by the time sign-ups actually open, but right now I think that I'll be volunteering to write for 104 different fandoms. And, for me, that's a very small number.
I'm trying to be realistic. December is going to be insanely busy for me, with the family drama and the waitressing and the planning a 800 mile move and the potential bad weather they're talking about already (and did I mention the family drama?), and I'm trying to stick with fandoms that I know inside and out. I just don't have time to do a massive reread or rewatch this year when it comes to book or TV fandoms, and there are quite a few movie fandoms that, while I adore said movie, I don't think I'll be able to pull off the style of the film without putting more time and effort into it than I'll have to spare.
So, yeah, 104 fandoms. It killed me to delete some things from my "sure, I'll write that!" list, especially some of the ones that I've signed up for every single year, but it's for the best. At least, as far as my sanity is concerned, it is. Especially if I decide to do the exchanges they're talking about over on cap_ironman and ricstar on top of my usuals for 3_ships and yuletide.
That said, my assignment for 3_ships this year is awesome. I've already started it and everything!

I swear, my sleep schedule gets more and more insane with every passing day. I'm halfway tempted to simply stay up all night and try to get to bed early tomorrow (well, this evening, technically), but I know me. I'll end up crashing around lunchtime, sleeping until halfway through the evening, and then winding up in even worse shape than I'm already in.
My body hates me. I'm certain of it.

Earlier today I realized that a girl I went to elementary and high school with totally looks like Jon Stewart*.
I have been wondering for years why Jon Stewart looked familiar to me. Not just because I see his face all over the goddamn place, but like I knew him.

My life actually really does feel more complete now. No, seriously.
